Classic Comedy by Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor

With all the craziness going on in the world, don't you think to kill the stress and worries, you just need to sit back and laugh?

It's hard to find some good comedy out here and comedy records aren't being produced like they used to. We're pretty sure you can remember the days of sneaking and hearing your folks listening to some old Moms Mabley, Dick Gregory, Redd Foxx, and Rudy Ray Moore records after they've told you to go to bed. It gave you a taste of the other side of comedy that you were forbidden to hear; and what you're forbidden to hear as a child, makes you want to go out and get it yourself. Soon enough, you've come of age, and you're allowed to listen to those records, and by that time, a new crop of comedians hit the circuit and they became the one's you won't let your own children listen to. Funny how everything goes in circles; the game doesn't change, just the players.

Comedy has evolved over time and there is a wide spectrum of talent that has appeared over the years. Comedy most likely hit it's peak in the late 60s, early 70s, but that's debatable, depending on the era you grew up in. But for most of us, the 70s and 80s brought to the forefront two of the most influential comedians of the 90s to the modern day era; Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor. These two have influenced the likes of Eddie Murphy, Bernie Mac, Chris Rock, and Jamie Foxx; even Richard Pryor is influenced by Redd Foxx. There hasn't been two comedians on their level since these two. Eddie Murphy came close, but he was no Foxx and Pryor; no disrespect. Those two are one of a kind and so are the other influenced comedians of their kind.

As stated before, the number of produced comedian records have decreased. You just don't see many comedians putting out stand-up comedy shows on tapes and CD anymore. Most stand-up shows are now on DVD, which is cool, but it's nothing like that old school feeling of having a gathering and throwing on a comedy show to listen to while you and your friends mingle and laugh. Robin Harris, Eddie Griffin, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx, Chris Rock, and a host of others have put out comedy CDs in the past, but recently everything is DVD. How about we take it back to the old school?

We like to see people laugh. It makes everyone feel good and makes the days go even better. Laughter takes your mind off the social ills of the world and all the other nonsense that fill our news and everyday conversation. There isn't enough laughter in the world, and we at P³ Entertainment are striving to make everyone laugh by bringing you some great old school comedy from Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor.
